Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

The Computer Security specialist–lead will provide concentrated support for the cybersecurity requirements and support the following functions: 

  • Analyzes and defines security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues. Designs, develops, engineers and implements solutions to MLS requirements.  
  • Responsible for the implementation and development of the MLS.  
  • Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena.  
  • Performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment.  
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.  
  • Analyzes and recommends resolution of security/IA problems on the basis of knowledge of the major IA products HC102818D0034 and services, an understanding of their limitations, and knowledge of the IA disciplines. 
  • Provides technical support for secure software development and integration tasks, including reviewing work products for correctness and adhering to the design concept and to user standards.  

 

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Knowledge of Security/Information Assurance (IA) products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.  
  • Demonstrated communication skills with the highest levels of management. 
  • Successful working knowledge and supervision of employees across various labor categories and skills. 
  • Understanding of DoD network and system security requirements. 
  • Knowledge of networking and network-based software applications. 
  • Demonstrated experience in a DoD IT environment. 
  • Experience with the ITIL framework (currently v3). 
  • Expert in: Security/Information Assurance (IA) products such as PKI, VPN, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.  
  • Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.  

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Required experience: 15 years 
  • Education: BA/BS in a technical field 
  • Clearance Level: TS - SCI 
  • Certifications Required: 
  • CSSP Manager 
  • CISM 
  • CISSP-ISSMP 
  • CCISO
