Responsibilities & Qualifications

This position will work with SDA personnel to provide operations, maintenance, and programming of as-built AV systems throughout the SDA’s area of responsibilities, as well as requirement capture, design / engineering, and installation of system enhancements of custom control system design based on the customer's needs. As well as provide high end products/services launching/commissioning customer deliverables timely/efficiently according to project timelines. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Design and construct control system code and graphic screen layouts based upon engineering designs, build to and customer requirements. 
  • Troubleshoot new and legacy systems, hardware cabling and components. 
  • Integrate third-party hardware/software solutions when needed. 
  • Create, execute and revise project plans to meet changing needs. 
  • Formulate timelines and control documents for design history file. 
  • Ensure project documents are complete and stored appropriately. 
  • Interface with external/internal clients and manufacturers/vendors. 
  • Program, install, test and support control systems, both on-site and remotely, with possible travel outside city/state of local office. 
  • Deliver projects assigned including communication management, schedule management, source control, and documentation. 
  • Regularly reporting to manager on the status of all projects. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of company standards and methodology. 
  • Understand and possible assist with the installation of structured cabling to include pulling, termination and testing cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI and audio cables if needed. 
  • Understand and assist with the installation of AV control system equipment hardware to include audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, and all presentation systems if needed. 
  • Identify and solve issues that will impact the project. 
  • Ensure that project deliverables and milestones are met including close out documentation and punch list items. 
  • Complete installation of software/control system needs of client systems in the most efficient and effective manner to assure timely completion and maximum performance. 
  • Perform quality control/check on finished product/projects including testing and presentation training to clients. 
  • Responsible for coordinating with property owners and OEMs in processing RMA issues. 
  • Assist in supporting technicians with onsite training endeavors. 
  • Follow all safety guidelines of Data Projections and client requirements. 
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 8+ years of relevant experience 
  • Crestron Certified Programmer certification 
  • CTS-I or D certification 
  • Minimum TS/SCI Clearance - CI Polygraph is required Day 1   
  • Experience with Office 365 and Microsoft products 
  • US Citizen
