IT Subject Matter Expert (SME)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists government in developing technical strategic direction.
• Develops solutions to complex technical problems using industry best practices.
• Maintains a full understanding of all aspects of the production system and the impact of future changes.
• Advises the government on the best approach to complex problems.
• Documents solutions and project plans in a way that can be implemented by development teams.
• Guides development teams through project implementation.
• Identifies and tracks progress towards schedule milestones. 

• Implement new system requirements, security patches, and enterprise required updates to ensure system sustainment and compliance

• Support government personnel in the creation, modification, and documentation of all system design documents, standard operating procedures, operations and maintenance manuals/procedures, software development plans, and related documentation

• Validate successful implementation of documented requirements by designing, developing, delivering, performing, and sustaining manual and automated tests (utilizing tools such as Selenium and Junit) that verify the implementation of the system and its components (including APIs, microservices, UI, etc.), monitor the operational capability of the system and its components, and gather metrics that reflect upon the performance of the system and its components

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting IT projects, including at least 8 years of experience leading complex IT projects and teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or similar or equivalent specialized experience (1 year of education = 1.5 years of experience).

We are seeking Top Secret cleared IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This team is responsible for providing IT product lifecycle management, technical expertise, and support for the development and operations lifecycle. The team is engaged in the operation and enhancement of over 80 existing IT applications, including several new applications developed annually. Team activities cover information systems operations, information systems development and modernization, and IT security.

The operation of existing applications and new application initiatives are critical to the success of the mission. Additionally, thousands of personnel in the law enforcement, intelligence, legal, and administrative communities use these services on a daily basis to perform mission-critical work. These applications require responsive, effective, and specialized technical expertise to limit disruption to operations.
