Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the planning, executing and tracking of multiple ATO efforts ensuring deliverables are met within expected timelines.
  • Perform Risk Management Framework Steps; collection of system information; selection of required security controls; and implement the security controls as required to achieve system authorization.
  • Participate in risk assessments, and aid in the support of POAM remediation.
  • Perform continuous monitoring; produce security impact analysis; perform security scans of OS; review vulnerabilities and create and manage POA&Ms in accordance with RMF.
  • Develop, deliver, and/or maintain security related artifacts System Security Plan; POA&Ms; Risk Assessment Reports (RAR); Security Assessment Reports (SAR); and SIA.
  • Work with IT Staff to ensure Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) are resolved in accordance with RMF.
  • Assist with IT change management and provide information security recommendations.
  • Work with IT Staff to develop and document IT security procedures that align with DTRA security policies and DOD RMF.
  • Attend meetings and perform team collaboration in support of information assurance.
  • Provide feedback to leadership and other project stakeholders through appropriate reports, meetings, and briefings, both formally and informally. Regularly brief senior leadership and government customers on ATO status and significant developments.
  • Must have knowledge of NIST 800-37 Rev 1, NIST 800-53 rev 4/5, NIST 800-53a rev 4/5.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance. TS/SCI preferred. 
  • Active DoD 8570 IAM II or better Certification.
  • 8-10 years’ experience
  • BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to analyze the customer’s needs and identify security requirements / solutions..
  • US Citizen

Overview

We are seeking a Lead Information System Security Officer to support the DTRA ITSS II contract at Fort Belvoir, VA.

 

The DTRA IT Infrastructure supports approximately 5500 users using distributed operations between the National Capital Region (NCR) and DTRA Albuquerque, NM and supporting facilities on Fort Belvoir, VA, as well as sites in Albuquerque, NM, Eglin AFB, FL, and a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of the DTRA IT Systems Management/Information Assurance Group, the candidate will monitor multiple computer networks at various levels of security classification.
