Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Network and Systems Engineer position is a key role within our IT team, responsible for managing and optimizing our network and systems infrastructure. As a crucial member of the team, you will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining the technology stack that underpins our business operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, implement, and manage the network infrastructure using Dell and Cisco technologies.
    • Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of the network.
  • Systems Administration:
    • Administer Windows servers, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. Including RDS, AD/DS, WSUS, Group Policy, etc.
    • Ability to collaborate with the IT team to manage and troubleshoot server-related issues with Windows and Linux.
  • Virtualization and Cloud Services:
    • Deploy and manage virtualization solutions using VMware.
    • Extensive experience with Hyper-V and ability to administer VMs and virtualized networking.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard network and systems integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations for Windows, RHEL, and Cisco/Dell technologies.
  • Linux Expertise:
    • Leverage expertise in Linux to administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers and associated services.
    • Collaborate with the development teams to support Linux-based applications and environments.
  • Collaboration and Documentation:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
    • Document network and systems configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Reuquired Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Top-Secret clearance 
  • 10 Years of relevant experience
  • 8570 IAT level II Certification Required
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer and Systems Administrator.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dell networking, Cisco technologies, VMware, Azure, and Windows servers.
  • Strong understanding of network/systems security and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in RHEL Administration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
