Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of 6 - 8 admins.
  • Configure and maintain complex Active Directory forests and domains across a complex network with over 5,000 users and 15,000 Active Directory objects.
  • Designed, built, and maintained a virtualized environment: Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and VMWare ESXi operating system. 
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of the Active Directory design and configuration
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration duties including Windows Active Directory object maintenance. Conducts complex troubleshooting and repair tasks on Active Directory, Windows Server 2012-2019, Domain Controllers, user authentication and other operational systems as needed.
  • Support implementation of new design/layout for Active Directory structure or schema
  • Administer active directory security
  • Works with vendors to evaluate new products and features related to Active Directory
  • Individual will research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain system and product solutions, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Individual will also provide technical direction and engineering support for projects and infrastructure.
  • Individual should possess in depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services
  • Work within a bastion forest solution to provide comprehensive security and management across multiple Active Directory forests.
  • Monitoring, backup, and restoration procedures for Active Directory.
  • Perform Group Policy Object Management and Configuration
  • Maintained and administered multiple application servers such as ePO, Splunk, and WSUS.
  • Designed, built, and maintained a virtualized environment using Cisco HyperFlex and VMWare ESXi operating system.
  • Applied monthly security patches via SCCM, implemented quarterly STIG updates, and reviewed weekly ACAS security scans
  • Installed and tested functionality and integration of defense messaging software and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product software
  • Created custom shell scripts and surpassed standards for quarterly baselines
  • Continually monitor environment to ensure best practices and Federal guidelines are being followed.
  • Participates in routine meetings and special projects as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum DOD Top Secret Clearance

  • 8570 IAT II level certification, i.e. Security + CE
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience
