Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and integrate new architectural cloud features tailored to DLA's fuel inventory management needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to plan and implement secure, cloud-based strategies.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in executing and overseeing cloud computing strategies aligned with DLA requirements.
  • Lead systems engineering lifecycle and cybersecurity initiatives related to cloud architecture, ensuring adherence to DOD and DLA IT security standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to network administrators, ensuring compliance with DLA Energy’s business practices and security protocols.
  • Support the sustainment and integration of DLA Energy applications, including Automated Tank Gauging, Automated Fuels Service Stations, and other core interfaces.
  • Ensure secure data transfer technologies align with audit readiness and DOD reporting requirements.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience.
    • Experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and cyber security initiatives relating to cloud architectural design and development.
    • Must have a high level of understanding of key security concepts for cloud architecture.
  • Certifications:
    • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAM Level II
  •  
      • CAP
      • CASP+ CE
      • CISM
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • CCISO
      • GSLC
      • HCISPP
  • One of the following computing environment certifications:  
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Education:
    • BA/BS
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess a Secret Clearance
