Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary Contractor point of contact, managing coordination and communication with the Government Task Manager for all deliverables and expectations.
  • Submit required weekly and monthly reports, including the Weekly Activity Report (WAR) and Monthly Progress Report (MPR), summarizing accomplishments, issues, and key risks.
  • Oversee performance metrics collection, measurement, and reporting to align with standards and quality objectives.
  • Plan, initiate, and manage complex information technology projects.
  • Lead and guide technical staff while ensuring tasks align with project goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, coordinating project stages, assessing business implications, and ensuring the alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor progress to ensure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met; provide timely adjustments to project plans as needed.
  • Apply expertise across multiple complex work assignments, with assignments often broad in scope and requiring innovation to determine task execution.
  • Provide independent thinking on complex tasks.
  • Lead and manage a large, multi-disciplinary IT support team, coordinating efforts to meet program objectives.
  • Develop and implement IT program plans, address organizational needs, resolve technical issues, and ensure alignment with functional support groups and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely risk reporting and resolution, communicating key issues or escalations to DHA leadership when necessary.
  • Oversee the IT Service Desk, Identity Management, and Desktop Support functions to ensure all service delivery aspects meet contract and performance standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Information Assurance (IA) and cybersecurity standards across all systems, adhering to DHA’s security requirements.
  • Oversee asset tracking and accountability, managing IT asset inventory across DHHQ sites.
  • Provide VIP support to senior DoD officials, ensuring swift response and effective handling of high-priority service requests.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
    • Experience managing and directing activities of a large multi-disciplinary IT support groups.
    • Experience developing complex Information Technology program plans to address needs and requirements, investigating, and resolving problems, interfacing with other functional support groups and outside personnel, preparing capital and operating requests, managing staff, and executing program / business plans.
    • Experience organizing and directing work and directing personnel and multi-discipline teams to achieve objectives.
    • Experience addressing complaints and resolving problems associated with requirements.
  • Certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent as approved by Government Task Manager
    • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • Education:
    • Master’s degree
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess a Secret clearance
