Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • May perform or oversee systems analysis of highly complex computer and networking systems.
  • Work in conjunction with architecture, engineering and sustainment to provide overall integration of systems peripherals so that they operate correctly within predefined environment.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Lovel II and Level III information Systems Analysists.
  • Assist in system owner and ISSO in various aspects of designing, developing and writing certification and accreditation documentation packages including POA&M and other artifacts.
  • Follows National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and/or Risk Management framework.
  • Develop or assist with creation of technical documentation to include installation procedures, standard operating procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Maintain application approval databases and user rights forms.
  • Provide expertise in Government scanning tools such as Retina, App Detective and ACAS and or Government provided security protocols, including forensics analysis and Intrusion Prevention System.
  • Assist Information Systems Security Manager in meeting their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DoD IS and PIT systems un their purview before granting access to systems. 
  • Coordinate with ISSM to initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered and ensure that a process is in place for authorized users to report all cybersecurity -related incidents. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency
  • Certifications:
    • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II (One of the following):
      • CCNA Security
      • CySA+
      • GICSP
      • GSEC
      • Security+ CE
      • SSCP
      • CND
      • CASP+ CE
      • CCNP Security
      • CISA
      • CISSP (or Associate)
      • GCED
      • GCIH
      • CCSP
  • Education:
    • Master’s degree
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess a Secret Clearance
