RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Management: Skilled in budgeting, financial oversight, and resource allocation for effective contract management.  
  • Risk Management: Proficient in identifying risks, developing contingency plans, and ensuring project success.  
  • Contract Management: Experienced in understanding contractual terms, deliverables, and performance metrics.  
  • Vendor Management: Adept at coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely, quality service delivery.  
  • Quality Assurance: Implements processes to monitor and ensure compliance with quality standards.  
  • Reporting and Documentation: Regularly updates stakeholders and maintains accurate project records.  
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Capable of adapting to project changes and solving complex issues creatively. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent field (such as computer science, information technology, or business administration). 
  • Project Management Institute certification or equivalent certification (PMP, ITIL etc.) 
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in managing large-scale IT projects or contracts, preferably in a government or federal context. 
  • Advanced customer service skills and training.

 

Overview

We are seeking a Program Manager to join our team supporting the United States Senate in Washington, DC.

 

This program provides comprehensive services for Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs), supporting around roughly 12,000 users. The program covers the acquisition, delivery, configuration, integration, and upgrade of IT products, along with installation and on-site maintenance, including help desk services. Additional support includes hardware delivery, moves, upgrades in state offices, and technical assistance for systems, ensuring efficient, secure, and up-to-date IT infrastructure. 

The Program Manager (PM) shall act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort. The PM shall direct efforts of cross-competency teams, to include contractors at multiple locations, and shall serve as the primary interface and POC with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and project issues. The PM shall be responsible for regularly briefing leadership on program status and milestones. The PM shall oversee contractor personnel project operations by developing procedures, planning and directing execution of the contractual, technical, multi-disciplinary engineering, programming, maintenance, and administrative support effort, and monitoring and reporting progress. The PM shall manage acquisition and employment of project resources and control financial and administrative aspects of the project.
