Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems, leveraging extensive experience and expertise to identify opportunities for system enhancements and optimization, and aligning solutions with organizational objectives.

  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems, working closely with stakeholders to gather and document system requirements, and translating them into comprehensive technical specifications for system enhancements or new system implementations.

  • Review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to identify areas for improvement and efficiency gains and provide leadership in making recommendations for system enhancements or reengineering efforts, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards.

  • Evaluate and analyze commercially available software solutions to determine their suitability for addressing specific business needs, and provide expert recommendations for software acquisitions or integration with existing systems, considering factors such as scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, and business analysts, to lead the design and implementation of computer systems that align with organizational objectives and user requirements, ensuring that systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to system analysis, requirements, and design, and contribute to the development of system-related policies and standards, providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.

    Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices and provide strategic recommendations for system enhancements and improvements to support the organization's operational and strategic objectives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Active IAT III certification
  • 10-16 years’ of experience analyzing science, engineering, business and other data processing problems to improve computer systems.  
  • MA/MS degree in an IT related discipline (preferred)

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $114,000 - $132,000.  The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
