Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support COTS and Government-developed software/hardware, scheduling IT services, managing end-user computing devices, and ensuring wireless network access. 
  • Deliver 411 Operator Services, processing non-secure calls and providing telephone directory information to users on demand. 
  • Maintain accurate call logs and record call metrics for security and quality assurance purposes. 
  • Coordinate authorized outages for scheduled system downtime and develop contingency plans for exercises and real-world events. 
  • Provide Tier I & Tier II IT support for Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) users, ensuring rapid incident resolution for NIPRNet and SIPRNet. 
  • Utilize remote service desktop software for troubleshooting and software deployment. 
  • Offer technical support for Unified Communications tools, such as Cisco, Citrix, Skype, MS Teams, and Zoom. 
  • Install, configure, re-image, and maintain OS for end-user hardware in alignment with J6’s standards. 
  • Deliver VIP-level support for SIGAR users, ensuring 95% of non-VIP incidents are resolved within one business day, and 90% of VIP incidents are resolved within 30 minutes. 
  • Generate and provide weekly TMS reports for SIGAR support, tracking all resolved, active, and pending tickets. 
  • Provide on-site IT support for the DOD Office of General Counsel (OGC) and Defense Legal Services Agency (DLSA), including desk-side support, software installation, and VIP assistance. 
  • Participate in IT training sessions and facilitate knowledge transfer for end-users, including software and hardware demonstrations. 
  • Ensure compliance with asset management protocols, updating Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) records and submitting digitally signed DD Form 1150 within three business days. 
  • Support Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) Life Safety Backbone (LSB) Service Desk, providing 24/7 Tier I support for IT issues related to law enforcement, security, and emergency response systems. 
  • Address urgent mission-critical issues within 10 minutes, providing immediate escalation and resolution tracking. 
  • Manage IT infrastructure projects, supporting BCTF/OSR projects, including office moves, technology insertions, and decommissioning efforts. 
  • Provide help desk and service desk support for NMCC, DSCA, OUSD I&S, and Arlington National Cemetery IT users, ensuring rapid response to service requests. 
  • Ensure adherence to DOD Information Security Program guidelines, managing secure IT asset movement within classified environments. 
  • Maintain project documentation, utilizing ServiceNow and J6 SharePoint portal for tracking, coordination, and reporting. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience: 
  • Five (5) years relevant experience 
  • Certifications: 
  • CompTIA Security+ 
  • Education: 
  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • Clearance: 
  • Must possess a Secret clearance
