Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The Contracts Administrator: 

  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates contracts, task orders and subsequent amendments with the customer 
  • Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard subcontracts, task orders and subsequent amendments with subcontractors. 
  • Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with corporate policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.  
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.  
  • Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.  
  • Monitors company performance for conformance to original proposal and maintains continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.   
  • Prepares and disseminates information throughout the organization regarding contract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation, and termination.  
  • Ensures all Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables are compliant, complete and delivered on time. Provides significant input into Monthly Contract Status Report CDRL (MCSR). 
  • Initiates documentation to authorize and direct work in accordance with contractual specifications. Maintains contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.  
  • Participates in teaming agreement and strategic marketing alliance negotiations between company and outside sources. 
    • Provides transition support at contract initiation, to include having all tasks staffed  with fully qualified  personnel,  having  a plan to integrate staff in a phased  approach  in order to take over services with minimal  degradation to services,  assuming  full responsibility for management of all Contract requirements. Assists and takes a significant role in appropriate contractor to contractor coordination to ensure a seamless transition. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance 
  • 3+ years of professional experience

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Master’s in business administration (MBA), or Master’s in Procurement and Contract Management

  • Work schedule: “Normal work hours” constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs. 
  • Amount of Travel: 20%
