Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

The Instructional Designer, Mid will work with the oversight of a lead instructional designer to develop, deliver and update training coursework and documentation to ensure enterprise compliance with customer current and oversight requirements. This includes: 

 

  • Updating existing data-handling compliance training courses and materials, communicating the methods, documents, and procedures to guide appropriate use of data 
  • Developing new materials to reflect changes to data-handling requirements. The Instructional Designer: 
  • Designs and develops interactive courseware for customer training 
  • Determines appropriate vehicles and delivery channels to achieve desired performance (instructor-led, computer-based training courses, virtual web-based programs, blended solutions, job aids, or other performance interventions) 
  • Designs and develops curriculum, total course materials for participants and facilitators including instruction, exercises, evaluations, activities, job aids and all other required materials, in accordance with departmental and business needs/requirements 
  • Ensures integrity of task analysis, training requirements, training hierarchies, instructional materials, and evaluation plans. Converts written materials and/or training requirements to interactive courseware 
  • Plans and storyboards multimedia.  
  • Develops educational multimedia, using tools such as Captivate, Camtasia, Dreamweaver, Articulate Studio, or Captivity 
  • Designs instructionally sound lessons in a variety of delivery media 
  • Interacts with customer and subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy of instructional content  
  • Evaluates materials during development for instructional alignment and appropriate styles, standards, and specifications. 
  • Providing refresher training to the NCTC workforce on the data-handling requirements 
  • Implementing required training 
  • Tracking and administering the compliance-related training 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance
  • Years of experience with degree: BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

 

  • Certified Instructional Designer/Developer (CIDD) 
  • Instructional Designer Certificate
