Responsibilities & Qualifications

This contract supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in advancing its mission to protect the nation and respond to emergencies effectively. Specifically, it focuses on enhancing and sustaining FEMA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations Portfolio.

The mission centers around the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of IT systems and services that are critical to FEMA’s ability to deliver emergency management capabilities. This includes ensuring continuous system availability, security, modernization, and operational efficiency to support FEMA’s mission-critical programs and services.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Design and manage FEMA’s data infrastructure to support mission-critical operations.
  • Develop robust database solutions that ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability among diverse data sources and systems used across FEMA.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to align data architecture with FEMA’s strategic goals.
  • Lead efforts to shape FEMA’s data architecture to support evolving operational needs.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience:
    • Relevant years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Certifications:
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Architect Certification
    • OCI Implementation Specialist Certification
  • Clearance:
    • Must obtain a Public Trust clearance before starting work.
