Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in cybersecurity for the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) of information systems across the DLA enterprise.
  • Provide guidance on the application and interpretation of the NIST SP 800-53 security controls during the A&A lifecycle.
  • Assess vulnerabilities, determine severity values for non-compliant security controls, and evaluate implications for system authorization.
  • Conduct risk assessments and assist with mitigation planning and execution.
  • Support and guide development of RMF packages and compliance documentation.
  • Participate in authorizing and maintaining the security posture of large and complex IT systems, including enclaves and outsourced systems.
  • Brief senior DLA management on the status, risks, and outcomes of systems undergoing RMF processes.
  • Remain current on emerging technologies and their cybersecurity implications, especially Cloud, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Warehouse Execution Systems, and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructures.
  • Provide expert support for POA&M development, vulnerability management, and FISMA tracking/reporting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Five (5) years of relevant Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST A&A experience
    • DOD cybersecurity experience
    • Experience in assessing security controls and conducting authorization reviews for large, complex organizations
    • Experienced in the general tenets supporting the overall DOD implementation of its authorization process, to include supporting cybersecurity
    • Knowledgeable in the cybersecurity of emerging technology areas such as Cloud and Industrial Control Systems (ICSs), warehouse execution systems and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructures
  • Certifications:
    • CSSP-Analyst
    • 8140 certification (One of the following):
      • CCISO
      • CISM
      • CISSP
      • CISSP-ISSEP
      • CISSP-ISSMP
      • FITSP-M
      • GCSA
      • GSLC
  • Clearance:
    • Must possess a Top-Secret clearance (IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5))
