Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

    • Support the development of Operational Technology (OT) and Software Asset Management (SAM) framework in ServiceNow to facilitate effective operational and software asset management decisions. Ensure the framework is comprehensive and covers all aspects of OT and Software asset discovery, identification, and inventory management across various functional pillars.
    • Continuously maintain and update the OT and Software inventory database, employing best practices from IT asset management. This includes ensuring accurate records of assets as they are moved, replaced, or retired, and adding new items to the database as they are received, installed, or discovered.
    • Work closely with Asset Management government staff, site audit teams, and other stakeholders to aggregate and verify OT and Software asset data. Ensure coordination in the collection and refinement of data, including attending regular meetings focused on OT and Software Asset Management.
    • Act as the central point for integrating data from future physical inventories and automated hardware data collection. Ensure that this data effectively supplements the Asset Management database, providing a comprehensive view of assets.
    • Coordinate with Asset Management data analysts to refine OT and Software data captured, focusing on accurate asset identification and reconciliation. This includes ensuring that all data reflects current operational statuses and is in line with asset management policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure strict adherence to DLA’s OT sand Software internal controls, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Aids, and other auditable duties. Perform and document these duties diligently to maintain accountability, prevent audit findings, and support the integrity and security of OT systems.
    • Regularly engage with key stakeholders, including attending OT and SAM focused meetings to discuss updates, challenges, and strategies. Provide comprehensive reports on asset status, discrepancies, and system improvements to facilitate informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Identify and implement solutions to problematic areas of the asset control process.
      • Reconcile all balances regularly and submit accurate, auditable financial year-end inventory reports.
      • May require onsite travel using personal vehicle, company van, company golf cart or another motorized vehicle.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum Experience: Five (5) years collective experience
      • One (1) year experience using Enterprise business software tools, i.e. ServiceNow
      • One (1) year experience working with Enterprise Software, License Management, and/or Software Asset Management tools
      • One (1) year experience using SharePoint and/or MS Excel to develop/extract reports, create pivot tables, and perform basic data analytics.
      • One (1) year experience performing data entry and extracting reports from an automated Enterprise business system.
      • One (1) year experience performing inventory management
    • US Citizen
    • Acquire and maintain a Secret clearance with IT-II sensitivity
    • Reliable transportation, and ability to use POV to travel on-site
    • Must have valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance.
