Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain systems to accurately track modifications to hardware, software, and documentation throughout the lifecycle.
  • Maintain control over allocated, functional, and physical baselines to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Review engineering change requests (ECRs) to assess impacts on configuration baselines and logistics support components
  • Update and manage configuration control records, ensuring consistency with current technical documentation.
  • Perform configuration audits and support formal audit processes to verify baseline integrity.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance personnel to ensure adherence to configuration control standards.
  • Ensure all modifications and baseline changes are properly documented and approved through established change control procedures.
  • Assist in developing configuration management plans, processes, and workflows to support program objectives.
  • Support the transition and implementation of updated or new configuration control systems.
  • Communicate configuration status, issues, and updates to stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD configuration management policies and industry best practices.
  • Maintain technical data and configuration records to support audit readiness and lifecycle management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience:

  • 5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems/Technology.
  • Experience in maintaining hardware/software documentation change tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage baseline control for complex IT or engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with reviewing engineering change requests and assessing configuration impacts.
  • Experience with configuration control processes and audit support.
  • Strong attention to detail in managing technical documents and baseline records.
  • Ability to collaborate with QA and technical teams to ensure well-documented and compliant baselines.

 

Certifications

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level II Baseline Certification
    • Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)
    • CompTIA Advanced security Practitioner with Continuing Education (CASP+ CE)
    • Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Global Security Leadership Council (GSLC)
    • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
    • Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP)

 

Clearance:

      • Secret - IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation
