Responsibilities & Qualifications

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Manage, plan, and implement Active Directory (AD) in an enterprise network environment.
  • Modify the AD schema and manage both the physical and logical architecture of AD.
  • Design, implement, and manage AD Sites, Subnets, Domains, Trusts, and Organizational Units (OUs).
  • Monitor and troubleshoot AD replication issues; prepare and implement a Domain Controller strategy.
  • Perform and document AD backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Design and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for configuration, security, and user environment management.
  • Optimize and secure Group Policies, including administrative templates and environment configuration.
  • Ensure domain-level and domain controller-level security compliance using DoD security checklists and directives.
  • Administer cloud-based AD services such as Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), AD Connect, and Amazon Active Directory Connector.
  • Support system automation using Microsoft PowerShell for AD administration.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

 

  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in:
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or newer
    • Microsoft Active Directory 2016 or newer
    • Microsoft 365 (M365) and Azure AD
    • Microsoft Exchange 2010 or newer
  • Experience must include participation in at least five technical projects, with one project within the past three (3) years.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell for AD automation and management.

 

Certifications

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Certified Network Defender (CND)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

 

Clearance

  • Secret - IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation
