Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support day-to-day activities related to the administration and management of relational databases across enterprise environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases in client/server configurations, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and integrity of data.Se
  • Conduct database quality control and auditing processes to validate appropriate data usage and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Assist with the implementation and support of complex database systems, including tasks related to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, and security.
  • Perform database programming tasks and contribute to the integration of front-end/back-end systems through database design and architecture.
  • Utilize query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access to perform data analysis and optimization.
  • Maintain and update database dictionaries, monitor adherence to established standards, and document all data definitions and procedures.
  • Collaborate with developers and system engineers to ensure database designs support evolving business requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and assist with tuning databases for performance optimization.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Two (2) years of progressive experience using database query languages including Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
  • Two (2) years of hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience working with multiple operating systems and additional programming languages.
  • Participated in at least two projects involving database design, development, or administration.

 

Certifications

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
  • DoD Approved 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II: Baseline Certification:
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security
    • COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Certified Network Defender (CND)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

 

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) 12c or higher
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations 2020 or higher
  • OCP WebLogic 11g or higher
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • MCSE: Windows Server 2016
  • MCSA: Windows Server 2016
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)

 

Clearance

  • Secret - IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive clearance or Tier 3 (T3) investigation.
