Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, support, maintenance, and expansion of the following security management tools:
    • Palo Alto DLP
    • Microsoft Purview DLP
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
    • Defender for Cloud Apps
    • Ironport Mail Gateways
  • Administer and work within Linux and Windows environments
  • Administer and hands-on operational work with the following technologies/skill areas:
    • Vulnerability and Configuration Compliance Scanning and Assessments
    • Technical writing of security compliance and assessment documentation
    • Creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
    • Security Log Management and Analysis
    • Application Security
    • Data Loss Prevention System Administration
    • Email Security
    • Intrusion Prevention/Detection System Administration
    • Packet Capture and Protocol Analysis
    • Security Policy Enforcement
    • Web-filtering and Web Content Security
    • Encryption

 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience in security solutions, design, implementation, support, and maintenance 
  • Knowledge of network management tools  
  • Experience in leadership roles 
  • Ability to obtain a PUBLIC TRUST  
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of experience.   
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) GLobal Infrastructure and Development Acquisition (GLINDA) provides a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) support services to the NRC Headquarters located in Rockville, MD; with four Regional Offices. WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $122,000 -$140,000.  The range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees. 

 

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE 

Must be a United States citizen. 

Must be able to obtain an NRC IT Level I/II.
