Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and assess suitability for Microsoft Power Platform-based solutions or recommend alternate technologies and solutions where appropriate.
  • Solution Architecture: Design scalable and maintainable Power Platform architectures and define development standards for US Federal customers.
  • Development Oversight: Work closely with development and project teams to ensure development aligns with architectural goals. Provide independent verification and code reviews where necessary.
  • Power Platform Governance and Center of Excellence (CoE): Work with the customer to establish and enforce governance policies for Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse), including environment strategy, security standards, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, licensing optimization, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Technology Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert and stay current with the latest Power Platform updates and best practices. Provide architecture and development guidance on Power Platform projects across our customer base.
  • End-to-End Solutioning: Translate complex business needs into comprehensive technical specifications and deliver complete Power Platform architectures.
  • Hands-On Development: Build secure, efficient Power Apps and automate business processes with Power Automate.
  • Embedded DevSecOps practices into the Power Platform lifecycle, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, and continuous monitoring.
  • Integration Expertise: Integrate Power Platform with MS and third-party applications and data sources using APIs and custom connectors.
  • Mentorship: Guide and support development teams, ensuring best practices and coding standards.
  • Innovation and Strategy: Stay ahead of tech trends in the Power Platform space, proposing continuous improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in a relevant subject, such as computer science or equivalent
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust
  • Possess requisite knowledge and expertise so recognized in the professional community that the Government is able to quality the individual as an expert in the field for an actual task order.

CERTIFICATIONS

  • Certifications Required: Certified Power Platform Developer Associate or equivalent (required), Power Platform Solutions Expert (preferred)

Overview

We are seeking a Microsoft Power Platform Architect SME to join our team supporting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, MD.

 

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) GLobal INfrastructure and Development Acquisition (GLINDA) provides a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) support services to the NRC Headquarters located in Rockville, MD; with four Regional Offices.

 

We're looking for a highly skilled Power Platform Solution Architect/SME with a strong background in gathering customer requirements and developing business applications using Power Platform and other Microsoft technologies (such as SharePoint and, Azure) with 15+ years of proven experience to lead the architecture, development, and deployment of scalable solutions utilizing Microsoft Power Platform.  You should be highly proficient in the design and building of Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and SharePoint solutions.

 

You will define technical strategies and design solutions tailored to business needs and interact with stakeholders. This is a hands-on architecture position requiring strong technical expertise in solution design, governance, automation, and integration of low-code platforms with enterprise systems. The successful candidate will serve as both a technical SME, a mentor to developers, and trusted advisor to our customers.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $173,000 - $205,000.  The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
