Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead comprehensive business development and capture strategy for US Army programs, with primary focus on Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) and Army Program Executive Office (PEO) communities
  • Drive market penetration initiatives to establish TekSynap as a recognized leader within Army acquisition programs
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans, including pipeline development, opportunity identification, and bid positioning for full and open competitive procurements
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing capture team capable of shaping opportunities from early market intelligence through contract award
  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders across Army commands, PEOs, and industry partners
  • Support comprehensive proposal development including win strategy formulation, solution architecture, and competitive positioning
  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, competitive threats, and partnership possibilities within the Army ecosystem
  • Represent TekSynap at key industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive business development and capture management experience specifically within US Army programs and acquisition community
  • Established professional network and proven relationships within APG and Army PEO organizations
  • Demonstrated track record of winning major competitive procurements (>$10M) in Army IT and modernization programs
  • Experience building and leading BD/capture teams from opportunity identification through contract award
  • Deep understanding of Army acquisition processes, FAR/DFARS regulations, and competitive procurement strategies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to C-suite and government executives
  • Proven ability to develop go-to-market strategies and execute complex, multi-year business development campaigns
  • Leadership experience with demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain higher clearances as needed

Overview

TekSynap is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Army Strategy to spearhead our expansion into one of the Department of Defense's most critical and rapidly modernizing services. This senior executive will be responsible for establishing TekSynap as a premier technology partner within the Army community, particularly focused on programs managed through Aberdeen Proving Ground and the various Army Program Executive Offices. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, building our Army practice from the ground up while developing the organizational capabilities needed to compete successfully for major full and open procurements. This role offers the opportunity to shape TekSynap's Army strategy while leading a team that will identify, pursue, and win transformational programs that support Army modernization priorities.
