Responsibilities & Qualifications

 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, planning, coordination, and installation of Aruba wireless and WIDS infrastructure within a DoD environment.
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of Aruba wireless infrastructure including Mobility Conductors, Mobility Controllers, Access Points (AP’s), Airwave and WIDS
  • Configuration and troubleshooting of WIDS and Airwave monitoring and management application along with integration of infrastructure with existing SIEM systems
  • Integration of Aruba wireless infrastructure with Cisco ISE
  • Create and/or update detailed documents and diagrams including As-built Documents, IA/ATO documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ongoing monitoring and tuning of WIDS
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and application issues.
  • Work both within a team and individually with minimal supervision.
  • Provide ongoing operational training and Tier III support post implementation
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Top-Secret Clearance
  • Minimum 4-year college degree, Master's degree preferred but not required
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise network design and implementation.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise wireless and WIDS environments.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with the configuration and troubleshooting of wired and wireless network devices from Aruba as well as familiarity with other vendors including Cisco and Palo Alto
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Application including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Experience with wired and/or wireless network design and implementation for DoD environments
  • Familiarity with implementation of DISA STIGS for Aruba Wireless devices
  • On-site position so must be located near Ft. Belvoir VA or willing to relocate at personal expense
  • 8570 IAT II level certification, i.e. active Security + CE 
DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
  • Aruba Certified Design Professional (ACDP)

Overview

The Wireless RF/WIDS SME I will be a critical member of a collaborative team to provide engineering design, testing, and implementation support for an Aruba secure wireless and Wireless Intrusion Detection (WIDS) infrastructure within a DoD environment.  This person must have extensive experience with the implementation and troubleshooting of enterprise level Aruba wireless and WIDS solutions as well as familiarity with other vendors including Cisco and Palo Alto.  The Wireless RF/WIDS SME I will work closely with other engineering resources to plan, coordinate, and execute the installation and configuration of the Aruba Wireless/WIDS solution.  Once implementation is complete, they will remain onsite to provide ongoing monitoring, tuning and Tier III operational support for the wireless and WIDS infrastructure.  The successful candidate must possess DoD Top Secret security clearance.
