RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert-level support, research, and analysis of exceptionally complex cybersecurity problems, processes, and solutions.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to the Cybersecurity Assessment Program, delivering technical direction, interpretation, and alternative approaches to complex challenges.
  • Apply advanced cybersecurity principles, theories, and methodologies to develop innovative and practical solutions for enterprise environments.
  • Recommend and implement security tools, technologies, and software solutions aligned with DoD security requirements and DISA guidelines.
  • Assist in developing software tool requirements and selection criteria, including creation of product-specific STIGs derived from applicable DISA SRGs.
  • Work independently on unusually complex technical problems and guide advanced technological concepts through development into final solutions.
  • Conduct evaluations of cloud computing environments, security controls, and compliance posture.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate security documentation, including reports, plans, and procedures.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to executive management to improve cybersecurity posture and risk management practices.
  • Ensure solutions align with DoD security regulations, RMF requirements, and industry best practices.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum seven (7) years of IT experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Information Assurance (IA) experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Cloud Computing security.
  • Proven proficiency performing cloud security work in DoD environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving complex security issues.
  • Strong knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of and hands-on proficiency with:
    • USCYBERCOM CTO Compliance Program
    • Web Services (IIS, Apache, Proxy)
    • Email Services (Exchange)
    • Vulnerability Scans (Nessus, SCCM)
    • Phishing exercise management and analysis
    • Physical security considerations in cyber operations

 

Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Risk Management Professional credential.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification:
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Certified Network Defender (CND)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Clearance

  • Secret – IT-II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance with a favorable NACLC.
