Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop new software products, major enhancements to existing applications, and state-of-the-art solutions that address requirements for function, scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
  • Architect, design, and plan the delivery of commercial SaaS solutions for cloud, on prem, and edge deployments addressing issues of systems integration, compatibility, and cross-platform functionality.
  • Create application architecture, data architecture, deployment architectures, functional design specifications. Perform feasibility analysis for potential future projects to support management decision-making.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including senior-level clients, to understand their vision, goals, and challenges, and align technical solutions with their strategic objectives.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of mission and business challenges across DLA and related US Government agencies and organizations, and the ability to provide effective solutions using relevant technologies and products
  • Cultivate and maintain executive-level relationships with key stakeholders across DLA major subordinate and regional commands, PEO, and industry partners
  • Represent TekSynap at key industry events, conferences, and customer engagements to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution development, software development, systems engineering, or related experience as a solution architect.
  • Expertise in software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps) with proven experience with enterprise software platforms and systems integration that include AI/ML capability.
  • Established professional network and proven relationships within DLA major subordinate and regional commands including the DLA J62/PEO deep understanding of enterprise business systems, programs of record, and key modernization initiatives
  • Strong skills in creating architecture documentation, BOEs and resource plans, technical specifications, and implementation guidance for enterprise software.
  • Familiarity developing and deploying solutions in the cloud, on-prem, and edge software architectures.
  • Comfortable leading cross-functional solution design sessions and ensuring alignment with engineering capabilities.
  • Familiarity with DoD Zero Trust and cybersecurity initiatives, architectures, direction, and solutions.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, including senior-level clients.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative and driving projects forward with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Active Secret clearance required; ability to obtain higher clearances as needed

We are seeking a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Solution Architect to join our DLA team.

 

TekSynap’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) business unit is seeking a dynamic Solution Architect to support the design and delivery of integrated technology solutions across the DLA portfolio. This role will focus on translating business needs into robust, secure, and scalable software and technology solution offerings, with an emphasis on establishing TekSynap as a premier technology partner within the DLA J62/PEO portfolio of programs and enterprise solutions. You will leverage your deep knowledge of DLA enterprise architecture principles, enterprise business systems, programs of record, and application modernization and sustainment along with deep understanding of commercial software development best practices, innovative use of automation, AI technologies, and data management practices to guide decision-making and ensure that the architecture supports business objectives and enhances operational capabilities.
