We are seeking a IT Project Lead to join our team supporting a government customer

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience

  • 10 years of relevant experience providing project management support for enterprise level IT projects

Certifications

  • A project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Additional preferred certifications include Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and/or SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)

Education

  • A bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in computer science, business management, or IT-related discipline is preferred

Clearance

  • Mandatory: Must hold an active TOP SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team management.
  • Manages one or more projects or programs, may manage an operating office and supervises professional and technical personnel performing in their customary disciplines. Maintains aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.
  • The contract is properly and adequately staffed with cleared and qualified personnel capable of performing all contract requirements
  • Trains and supervises personnel.
  • Responsible for all phases of the program budget.
  • Performs analysis for call order reviews with various software.
  • Develops Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services.
  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring staff.
  • Assigns staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete task.
  • Monitors call order, subcontract, and funding; prepares forecasts of program financial performance.
  • Develops and delivers required call order, departmental, project and/or financial reports.
  • Assesses risk, identify business threats, and evaluate system or network security programs to create a security operations strategy while reducing risks to systems and data.
  • Utilizes the NIST Risk Management Framework model to assist and manage information security incidents to minimize risk to systems and data.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with various government teams to conduct cyber security operations across various branches of government.
  • Creates standard operating procedures in partnerships with government personnel to enhance security operations, improve response capabilities, and to meet compliance requirements.
  • Works with various government departments in deploying best security practices as results of planned cybersecurity assessments on systems and data.

The IT Project Lead is responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers (non-tech), in accordance with the call order requirements and government policies, procedures and guidelines. Serves as the official point of contact with Government representatives. They are responsible for the performance of contract requirements, supporting certified cybersecurity workforce that is readily available at all times. Focus is on working closely with contract management professionals to ensure timely delivery of resources and services; optimizing financial investments focusing on cost savings; and training a robust internal IT workforce that adapts to today’s evolving technology.

 

About the team: This position is part of a contract supporting a federal agency. The team provides Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), and Information Systems Security Representative (ISSR) experts as a service through ISaaS to deliver vulnerability, compliance, and risk management services as part of a cybersecurity workforce. Tasks include creating a mission-focused IT security environment that supports a federal agency’s workforce; prioritizing efficiency and encouraging innovation; integrating security into all aspects of IT information systems; and providing comprehensive delivery of security services.

WAGE INFORMATION 

Target salary range: $150,000 - $190,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.
