Responsibilities & Qualifications

TekSynap is seeking a Senior Records & Information Management Specialist to serve as Key Personnel supporting a federal Records and Information Management (RIM) program. This role provides expert-level support for electronic records management, SharePoint/M365 administration, digitization initiatives, and compliance with NARA and Federal records requirements.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience

  • Five (5) or more years of experience providing records and information management support in Federal environments.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience administering SharePoint and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Working knowledge of NARA regulations, Federal Records Act, and General Records Schedules (GRS).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in library science, Business, or a related discipline.

Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship required; background check required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Library Science (MLS).
  • Experience supporting digitization programs and electronic records management initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support agency-wide records inventories and file plan development.
  • Administer and configure Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 to support electronic records management.
  • Classify, index, and apply metadata to administrative, engagement, and policy records.
  • Manage records retention, disposition, and lifecycle activities in accordance with NARA and GRS.
  • Support records appraisal activities including identification of new record series.
  • Assist with digitization strategies and compliance tracking aligned with OMB mandates.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of records, metadata, and digitized content.
  • Develop and deliver records management training and role-based guidance.
  • Support audits, information requests, and records retrieval efforts.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $70,000 - $120,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.
