Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a Task Order Project Manager to join our Defense Logistics Agency team.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience

  • 5+ years of project management or related experience with progressively higher levels of responsibility in the public and/or private sector within IT or consulting environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams, projects, or operational activities in IT or consulting programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical or IT-related projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating with government representatives and contract personnel to support project execution.

Education

  • BS or BA OR four (4) additional years of related experience.

Certifications

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or other recognized certification).

Clearance

  • Secret - IT-II Non-Critical security clearance, Tier 3 investigation. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Project Manager for large, complex task orders or multiple related task orders supporting government IT programs.
  • Assist the Program Manager in coordinating with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Task Order Managers, government management personnel, and customer agency representatives.
  • Provide overall management and oversight of assigned task order(s), ensuring technical solutions are implemented effectively and within required timelines.
  • Plan, organize, and manage project activities to ensure contract deliverables, schedules, and performance objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor project execution, identify risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and performance goals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to support the successful delivery of IT and consulting services across the task order.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with contract requirements.
  • Provide status updates, performance reports, and project briefings to the Program Manager and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, organizational policies, and government regulations throughout project execution.
  • Support resource planning, staffing coordination, and task prioritization across the project team.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure clarity of requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
  • Ensure quality control and continuous improvement across all project activities and deliverables.
