Responsibilities & Qualifications

We are seeking a Testing Manager to join our Defense Logistics Agency team.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software testing, quality assurance, or system validation activities.
  • Experience supervising a team of test specialists and managing complex test programs.
  • Experience testing software applications, including system, regression, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, and automation testing.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments and supporting DevOps integration processes.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated test cases using industry-standard testing tools.
  • Detailed familiarity with commercial test environments, testing frameworks, and operational testing procedures.
  • Experience translating complex program requirements into structured and testable objectives.
  • Experience analyzing and recommending test cycles, test plans, safety reviews, and detailed test objectives.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting the Oracle EBS R12.2 platform.

Certifications

  • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority (e.g., ISTQB, Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE), or equivalent).

Clearance

  • Secret IT-II Non-Critical security clearance, Tier 3 investigation. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and lead a team of test specialists responsible for executing complex software and system test programs.
  • Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of state-of-the-art testing initiatives for enterprise applications and systems.
  • Translate complex program and system requirements into clearly defined, testable objectives and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, including test objectives, methodologies, schedules, and analysis approaches.
  • Design and oversee test cycles, test plans, safety reviews, and detailed testing objectives to ensure system readiness and compliance.
  • Apply established testing disciplines and methodologies to design thorough, repeatable, and executable test programs.
  • Perform independent assessments of system performance to validate compliance with functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases using designated automated testing tools.
  • Conduct various forms of testing including system, regression, acceptance, end-to-end, performance, and automation testing.
  • Utilize Agile methodologies to support iterative testing, continuous integration, and DevOps-based development environments.
  • Lead data analysis efforts to evaluate test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with developers, engineers, operations teams, and stakeholders to resolve defects and improve system quality.
  • Apply user stories and use cases to develop detailed and traceable test scenarios and test cases.
  • Provide clear test reports, findings, and recommendations to clients, project leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to established testing standards, commercial test environments, and operational procedures.
