Responsibilities & Qualifications

TekSynap is seeking a Project Manager. The Project Manager will lead day-to-day contract execution and serve as the primary coordination point across technical support teams providing operational support for Unix/Linux, VMware, Backup and Archiving, Messaging, Database Management, and Network Management services.

 

This role is responsible for overall project oversight, deliverable management, staffing coordination, customer engagement, service performance monitoring, and operational governance. The Project Manager will work closely with customer stakeholders and contractor staff to ensure timely execution of ServiceNow-assigned work, accurate ticket oversight, compliance with performance expectations, and successful completion of all required deliverables.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing a diverse IT team on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise IT operations or infrastructure support programs involving multiple technical disciplines.
  • Experience coordinating service delivery in ticket-driven environments, preferably using ServiceNow or a similar ITSM platform.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams supporting operational IT services such as systems administration, messaging, database support, backup/recovery, virtualization, and network operations.
  • Strong experience managing deliverables, schedules, staffing, priorities, and customer communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex project-related problems and develop practical solutions involving schedule, staffing, tools, methodology, and service execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and customer relationship management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Clearance

  • No specific clearance requirement – potentially Public Trust\

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience supporting federal or legislative branch customers in operational IT environments.
  • Experience managing hybrid onsite/remote support teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure operations supporting enterprise server, messaging, database, backup, and network environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project/program management credential preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation or higher preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of task order execution for operational infrastructure support services.
  • Provide coordination for contract deliverables and ensure timely, accurate submission of required plans, reports, guides, and other contract artifacts.
  • Provide oversight and coordination between government supervisors and contractor staff for ServiceNow ticket requests, annotations, updates, and closures.
  • Manage project schedule, staffing, workload balancing, priorities, and overall service delivery across all functional support areas.
  • Oversee performance related to incidents, service requests, change requests, and catalog tasks.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify risks/issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate transition-in activities, staffing ramp-up, knowledge transfer, and service continuity efforts.
  • Serve as the primary interface with the Government on project status, staffing issues, performance concerns, and operational priorities.
  • Lead internal status meetings and program reviews; prepare and deliver program reporting and briefings.
  • Ensure technical teams maintain required documentation, status updates, and deliverables in accordance with task order requirements.
  • Support long- and short-range planning for project execution, resource alignment, and operational sustainment.
  • Manage project-related risks involving schedule, staffing, technical execution, service quality, and customer coordination.
  • Ensure collaboration across technical towers to support integrated operations and issue resolution.
  • Support financial and operational management of the task order consistent with contract requirements and TekSynap management practices.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $115,000 - $150,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined based on several factors, including the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The listed salary represents one component of the total compensation package for employees.
