Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supports field deployment of enterprise wireless infrastructure by performing installation, basic configuration, survey support, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation under the direction of senior wireless engineers. Assists with access point placement, cabling validation, coverage verification, migration activities, and post-installation acceptance for AMC BAN modernization. 

 REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3 years of experience
  • Must have an active Secret clearance
  • WLAN fundamentals, RF fundamentals, and enterprise access-point deployment 
  • Basic predictive/passive/active survey techniques and coverage validation 
  • AP installation, controller/cloud onboarding, configuration, and migration support 
  • Basic spectrum/interference analysis and RF troubleshooting 
  • Ability to read wireless designs, floor plans, cable maps, and implementation procedures 
  • Documentation of AP placement, survey results, test results, and as-built conditions 
  • Ability to support maintenance windows, cutovers, validation testing, and field troubleshooting under senior-engineer direction  

DESIRED SKILLS 

  • Ekahau or equivalent wireless survey/design tools 
  • AP-on-a-stick surveys and post-install validation 
  • Cisco, Juniper Mist, Aruba, or other enterprise WLAN platforms 
  • DoD/Air Force wireless or BAN modernization experience 
  • Outdoor/warehouse/flightline wireless environments 
  • Structured cabling, PoE, switching, NAC, and 802.1X familiarity  

CERTIFICATIONS

  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) 
  • applicable OEM or role-specific technical certification

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $65,000.00 - $76,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
