RESPONSIBILITIES   The Computer Security specialist–lead will provide concentrated support for the cybersecurity requirementsand support the following functions:  - Analyzes and defines security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues. RESPONSIBILITIES - Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Linux workstations, VMs, and supporting software in an air-gapped DevSecOps environment. - Configure and maintain enterprise Linux administration tools such as Identity Management (IdM), Satellite, and Ansible Tower servers. - Harden systems against vulnerabilities and threats using automated tools in accordance with DISA STIGs. - Proactively recommend and implement performance and reliability improvements to systems and independently develop solutions to problems. - Train junior systems administrators and help desk technicians in best practices and day-to-day operations. - Assist in the documentation of knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures, and work instructions as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES - Capture and reporting of IT Service Desk support metrics - Installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting for all users of the DTRA systems - Maintain a web-based capability for DTRA users to enter, track and escalate Service Desk tickets, as well as self-service actions (currently using Remedy) - Remote access configuration and support for DTRA users and external customers as required (supporting telework, off-site travel, and mission or contingency operations) - Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer peripherals - Provide tracking for all deployed IT assets from procurement to disposal to allow real-time accounting of IT assets to both government and contractor personnel - Provide end-user software and application support - Coordinate security and situational awareness concerns with DTRA NOSC - Provide technical assistance and customer support in the operations and maintenance of wireless voice and data services. - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. - The Helpdesk Specialist will gather feedback directly from the service desk customer regarding their level of satisfaction with the service provided. RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist the Intermediate Network Engineer and on-site government personnel in responding to and managing any tickets, alerts, or communications that come into the Network Operations Center. - Follow up with other government and contractor personnel on outstanding ticket updates. - Observe the actions of other contractor personnel to capture and assist with ticket updates or notes for after action reviews. - Provide support to other contractor personnel towards the accomplishment of their responsibilities and duties. - Contribute to reporting and data analysis of the work done under the CLIN by the NOC. RESPONSIBILITIES - Work with the Veterans Administration's Enterprise System Engineering/Capacity Management for Telecommunications team. - Serve as a member of a team that provides Enterprise level recommendations for LAN to VA senior leadership on enterprise communications. - Provide Tier4 escalation support when issues arise, deployment support for new technologies or architectures. - Make architecture recommendations to support the growing needs of the VA. - Test the recommendations for enterprise compatibility in the state of the art network design lab - Use existing Network Management tools to provide capacity management/utilization reports - Provide on-call escalation support in the event that an issue arises that cannot be rectified by the network operations team. - Write white papers on new technology uses in the VA and how it will help support the mission of the VA. RESPONSIBILITIES - Cybersecurity and IT Project Management: Accountable for the end-to-end management of cybersecurity and IT projects, emphasizing alignment with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other compliance frameworks. - Documentation and Compliance: Creates functional and technical documentation. BOEM and BSEE are responsible for managing the nation’s offshore energy, minerals, and natural resources on the Federal Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). BSEE promotes safety, protects the environment, and conserves resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. BOEM manages the responsible exploration and development of offshore energy and marine mineral resources on the OCS. RESPONSIBILITIES This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide support for the facilitation of AV/VTC events to include setup, coordination, connection, and troubleshooting. - Provide AV/VTC hardware/software troubleshooting and escalate to higher level tiered support as needed. - Maintain awareness of conference room availability and provide the customer with alternative facility and connection options if a scheduled room is inoperable. - Conduct preventative maintenance and testing of AV/VTC rooms to ensure continued operability. - Prepare scheduled conference rooms at least 15 minutes prior to each event by joining the room to the conference, validating audio and video transmission and quality with meeting attendees/sites, ensuring that presentations are displaying properly (as applicable), and ensuring that cameras and microphones are optimally configured. - Attend scheduled conferences and provide support for camera and microphone control as well as any needed AV/VTC troubleshooting for each event. - Update and maintain SNOW tickets per SLA requirements. - Provide tier I/II enterprise support for USITC AV/VTC equipment to include audio controllers, data interfaces, document cameras (ELMO), Cable TV, miscellaneous AV/VTC equipment and other commonly used peripherals within the Government computing environment. - Contact appropriate vendor repair personnel for warranty and/or proprietary repairs; explain and demonstrate the malfunction; verify repairs fixed the problem. - Provide knowledge transfer to customer in the administration of the AV/VTC system.   - Create user job aides to facilitate setup and operation of AV/VTC sessions without administrator intervention. - After hours/on-call support may be required when approved by the COR/COTR. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience: - Two years of AV/VTC support experience including the operation and troubleshooting of control panels, displays, cameras, and microphones. - Familiarity with Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Webex solutions/environments. - Experience developing user guides and training end-users on the operation of AV/VTC equipment. - Clearance: - Must possess a Secret Clearance.

BOEM and BSEE are responsible for managing the nation’s offshore energy, minerals, and natural resources on the Federal Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). BSEE promotes safety, protects the environment, and conserves resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. BOEM manages the responsible exploration and development of offshore energy and marine mineral resources on the OCS. OCS production accounts for about 18 percent of domestic crude oil and four percent of domestic natural gas supply.   RESPONSIBILITIES - Use proven, efficient methodologies to support the Oracle and Structured Query Language (SQL) databases - Design and develop comprehensive database schemas, encompassing tables, views, indexes, triggers, stored procedures, functions, and other essential objects. - Craft efficient and optimized SQL queries, generate insightful reports, and seamlessly integrate data across various systems and applications. - Collaborate closely with end users and administrators to gain an understanding of their data needs, proactively optimize database performance, and uphold data quality standards. - Continuously monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, index optimization, and resource management to ensure optimal efficiency and responsiveness. - Implement and enforce data security measures, including access controls, encryption, and authentication, to safeguard sensitive information and maintain compliance with relevant regulations - Create and maintain data models that accurately represent the organization's data structure and relationships, helping to guide database design decisions. - Document database architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure that knowledge is well-documented and can be easily transferred to other team members. - Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move, transform, and load data from various sources into the database, ensuring data consistency and quality. - Perform capacity planning for future data growth and resource requirements, and plan for scaling the database infrastructure accordingly. - Plan and execute database migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. - Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, working closely with developers, system administrators, and other relevant teams to address technical challenges. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior database developers and team members, fostering skill development and best practices. - Formulates/defines system scope and objectives. - Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations. - Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. - Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. - Participates in related areas, such as such as design, implementation, integration, management, and maintenance of complex databases, with respect to the operating system, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, guidelines, and statistical methods; evaluation of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products; and analysis of hardware/software issues. - May direct the work of others.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Eight years of technical experience in applications software development, three of which are in systems analysis, and 1 year of which is acting as technical lead. - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or area related to the project’s functional requirement - Strong skills in SQL for querying and manipulating data in Oracle databases. - Proficiency in PL/SQL for developing stored procedures, triggers and functions. - Proficiency in Oracle Database management is essential. This includes understanding database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL and database design principles. - Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues - Ability to design and implement database structures, including tables, indexes and constraints, to ensure data integrity and optimal performance. - Understanding performance tuning techniques and the ability to optimize database performance - Familiarity with Oracle tools and technologies like Oracle enterprise manager, Oracle Data Pump an Oracle Recovery Manager - Knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows Operating systems - Ability to pass a United States Department of Interior DOI Background Investigation and obtain an Entry on Duty (EOD) US citizenship
