This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. BOEM and BSEE are responsible for managing the nation’s offshore energy, minerals, and natural resources on the Federal Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). BSEE promotes safety, protects the environment, and conserves resources offshore through vigorous regulatory oversight and enforcement. BOEM manages the responsible exploration and development of offshore energy and marine mineral resources on the OCS. RESPONSIBILITIES   The DTRA IT Infrastructure supports approximately 5000 users using distributed operations between the National Capital Region (NCR) and DTRA Albuquerque, NM and supporting facilities on Fort Belvoir, VA, as well as sites in Albuquerque, NM, Eglin AFB, FL, and a variety of CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of the DTRA IT Systems Administration Group the candidate will support multiple computer networks at various levels of security classification.  - Provide the full range of support services required to manage the day-to-day operations and systems administration of the DTRA IT computing environment, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient availability of the current and evolving DTRA IT services and capabilities. - Support the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) for the Agency on a 24x7x365 basis, in accordance with requirements for a Defense Agency NOSC and appropriate DoD Directives. - Included in this objective the candidate will maintain real-time situational awareness of the DTRA IT infrastructure and supported environments; shall lead restorative actions to ensure all networks remain up and operational. - Additionally, the NOSC supports the Systems Administration function with vulnerability management, and the contactor shall continuously monitor infrastructure equipment and apply patches and interface with Sys Ad to support the sustainment of over 1,300 servers on three enclaves. - To mitigate security risks, the candidate will coordinate closely with the government and support team responsible for Cybersecurity Support Services (Task Order 2) ensure security upgrades, patches, configurations, and logging are introduced and implemented with appropriate priority commensurate with the level of exposure to potential cybersecurity threats.  - Plan, manage, back up, troubleshoot, fix/repair, install OEM and security patches and upgrades, and monitor the health of the DTRA IT Server and Storage infrastructures to ensure continuous, secure, and efficient access to the full range of DTRA partners.  - Provide application support to various DTRA offices as designated in Service Level Agreements (SLA) with those offices. Assisting with identifying, training and compliance of site responsibility items, as well as providing necessary support to help locations incorporate this system and established security documentation into their local site accreditation package if necessary. - Provides onsite training, tailored to the needs of the fuels inventory and resource manager budget officers managing fuels from an inventory perspective. - Provides detailed reports and other related documents to the site visit for both the internal and external customers to document the level of effort within the established contract service level of agreements and key performance indicators. - Document slow performing application areas and determine bottlenecks and opportunities for performance enhancements. - Tune systems for optimal performance and characterize systems on multiple platforms. - Coordinate with client and team members and resolve issues, reduce risk, and enhance user satisfaction. - Support project lifecycle from commencement to completion. - Troubleshoot system operating deficiencies and assess corrective alternatives. - Interact with program area staff to take corrective action against system warranty issues. - Write content for new policies, procedures, and services. - Coordinate with application services and to implement all integration strategies and administer integration of all applications. - Provide support to all window applications and ensure appropriate integration of various technologies. - Maintain knowledge on all new technology and provide required training and coordinate with various teams to provide support to all new acquired sites.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. - Must be able to multi-task multiple high priority items with the ability to properly prioritize. - Must have an Approved DOD 8570 IAT II certification and computing environment certification required upon hire. - Government IT security clearance, IT2 - Must be willing to travel a minimum of 90%, work weekends, and nights. - Previous experience in customer support, or related fields involving interaction with people   Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Cellular gateways, RF cabling, antenna placement for obtaining the best possible signal to the devices. - Hands on administrative and technical experience with all Microsoft Operating Systems to date. - Full understanding and experience working with DISA security compliance settings for the platforms provided to base level customers, this includes a full understanding of the operating system security parameters such as permissions, GPO, security templates, HBSS, HIPs etc. - Full understanding of IT Networking architecture with relation to Client Server configurations and/or thin/thick net configurations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration and maintenance of systems hardware/software/related infrastructure. Provide technical support, guidance and hands-on delivery in the planning, implementation and ongoing operations. - The Systems Engineer shall participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.
